Cheryl Marie Lucero passed away on August 26, 2023, in Finland at the age of 66. Born on August 5, 1957, in Fargo, North Dakota, Cheryl brought immense joy and warmth to the lives of her family and friends.

After graduating from Fargo South High School in 1975, Cheryl pursued her education and later obtained her master’s degree in social work.

After moving to southern Texas in 2010, Cheryl’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish her own business, Therapy and Consulting Services. As the owner and operator, she provided support and guidance to those in need. Cheryl’s empathetic nature allowed her to connect with others on a profound level, truly making a difference in their lives.

Being an ardent advocate of a healthy lifestyle, Cheryl enjoyed various sporting activities including competing in triathlon races all over the world. Her dedication to fitness was an inspiration to those around her, especially those in her local triathlon club, The Gator Chasers.

Cheryl loved to travel with over 10 countries visited in the last year. Her vibrant personality meant she made cherished friends everywhere she went.

Cheryl will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Jamie Minar, Jaden Minar, and Janeá Rowley (née Minar). In addition, Cheryl will be fondly remembered by her mother Eleanor, three siblings, and three grandchildren with one on the way.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Cheryl’s life will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Boulger Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, Fargo with visitation starting at 9:00 A.M. Friends, family, and all those whose lives were touched by Cheryl are welcome to join in remembrance of her remarkable journey. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery North, Fargo.

  6. I had the pleasure of meeting Cheryl for a short time in my kick boxing class. Quickly in, I was hoping to become best of friends. She was so optimistic, strong and welcoming. I continued to be inspired as I followed her post always amazed by her energy. Prayers, and hugs to her family and all who loved her.

  7. Reached for the phone to call you. Instead, I called my voicemail so I can hear your voice again. Your soft beautiful voice was nice to hear. It’s a message I will never delete, for you will always be a part of me. Losing you so suddenly and unexpectedly leaves a hole that can’t be filled, for you are irreplaceable. I can’t find the words, or should I say I can’t say the words to express my grief and how much I will miss you! A true one of a kind. My deepest condolences go out to Ellie, Jamie, Jaden, Janea, David, Michael, and Tammy along with their families. I am here for all of you if needed. My heart breaks for all of you.   9. Prayers for Cheryl’s family. I worked with Cheryl at Charles Hall Youth Services in Bismarck North Dakota. It was a pleasure working with and knowing her. Our friendship remained for 36 years. Cheryl was a joy to know and I will miss her.

I miss your smile, your love ,your laughter, in my life. We shared a lifetime in only the 7 years we were friends. It’s just amazing and incredible that you existed this way in so many hearts and in so many lives. I love and miss you my friend. My deepest condolences to your family. your children and grandchildren. I am forever grateful to have shared such a friendship with you on this journey.
