Christina Pyle

Christina M. Pyle, 91, Fargo, ND passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020 in Goodyear, AZ at Park Villa Senior Living. She was born on October 22, 1928 in Walhalla, ND to Ernest and Christina (Georges) Gapp. In 1947, she graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. Christina was a bookkeeper at Standard Oil where she met her future husband at a going away party for a coworker. On April 14, 1956, she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Pyle at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo. They made their home in Fargo where they raised their three children, Timothy, Laurinda, and Thomas. Christina worked as a bookkeeper throughout her life at various organizations. She retired from Catholic Family Services in 1991. She and her husband, Jim, were involved in the Society of St. Vincent de Paul until 2008. They were also longtime members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Christina is survived by her three children, Tim (Jeanette); Tom (Kate); Laurinda Pyle-Webber and her husband, Dave Webber; grandchildren, James, Stefan, Tristan, Connor, Cody, Brandon, and Dylon; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Christina Gapp; and brother, Donald Gapp. She finally gets to be with her mom. There will be a visitation from 5-7:00 PM with a prayer service following at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. The funeral Mass will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Fargo with a visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store.
