Christine Ann Moore, age 55, of Fargo, ND, passed away December 12, 2022, with the love of CHI Friendship at her side and in the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Christy was born on July 22, 1967 in Green River, Wyoming. At 18 months of age Christy was placed in foster care with Russell and Bette Eberhardt where she was loved unconditionally until June 10, 2005. Christy was one of three foster children loved by the Eberhardt family. On June 10, 2005, Christy and her foster sister, Sheri, realized their dream to move into an apartment with support from CHI Friendship. After Christy’s health started to decline, she started services in one of the homes operated by CHI Friendship. She once again was welcomed with open arms and loved until the moment she passed.

Educationally, Christy attended the Opportunity School starting at 3 years old. She remained in involved in school until she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in May 1988.

It was important to Christy that she had the right to make her own choices. She made the choice to attend several vocational programs in the Fargo area. She attended Developmental Work Activity Program (DWAC), Vocational Training Center and CHI Friendship’s Vocational Habilitation Program.

Christy will be remembered for her free spirit. She was the life of the party. As long as Christy was in the room, the party was in high gear. She would sing and dance all night long. Her fashion statement had no rules. Any pattern, color, design went with anything. She loved her “hoodies” She is best remembered for busting her moves at the DWAC Talent Shows.

Christy had sass and spunk that will be unmatched. She had something to say for everything. A couple of her favorite phrases to use to put others in their place were: “My Body, my Choice”, “I know, I got this”, “Nothin’” and “Yea…, right”.

Christy will be missed by all who knew her. Rest in Peace dear friend.

Christy was preceded in death by her foster parents, Russell and Bette Eberhardt; their children Bonnie, Barb, Karen, Larry, Jerry; and her foster sister Sheri.
