Christopher “Chris” James Smykowski, 32, unexpectedly passed away, January 18, 2022, after being admitted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND on January 16. Christopher was born January 22, 1989, to Edmund “Ed” and Becky Smykowski. Chris graduated from West Fargo High School, class of 2007. He and Suzanne (Suzy) Lien welcomed their daughter Alexa into the world, November 25, 2008. In addition to his parents, Aurora, CO, partner, and daughter, Fargo, ND, Christopher is survived by his sisters, Natasha Hagen of Fargo, ND and Paige Smykowski of Ada, MN and nephews and niece. He was preceded in death by his niece, Lillian Margaret Hagen, and maternal grandfather, Marvin Larson. Chris was known as a fun and caring soul by his friends, and the rock and jokester by his family. He enjoyed golfing, camping, bowling with his daughter, and spending what time he had with family and friends. A private family service is being held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.
