Clara Brynteson

Clara Marie Brynteson passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Innovis Health, Fargo. Clara was born to Norman V. and Clara M. (Sander) Fertig in Harvey, North Dakota on January 12, 1937. She attended St. Mary’s Elementary School and Shanley High School in Fargo from which she graduated with honors. Clara then attended Moorhead State University from which she received her teaching certificate. Clara taught in Thief River Falls, MN, California, and then taught internationally in Okinawa, Japan. Clara returned to Fargo, joined the Fargo School District and taught at McKinley, Lewis and Clark, and Roosevelt before retiring in 1999. Clara Fertig and Wayne Brynteson were united in marriage on April 14, 1967 in Fargo. Clara was a good teacher and devoted daughter, a truly great wife and mother and her greatest joy was being a loving grandma to Ella. Survivors: Husband, Wayne; mother, Clara Fertig; son, David Wayne Brynteson, Boise, ID; granddaughter, Ella Marie Brynteson, Boise, ID; brother, Norm Fertig (Andi), Mapleton, ND; 2 sisters, Sally (Ken) Owen, Prior Lake, MN, Terri Fertig, Albert Lea, MN Preceded in death by: Father, Norman V. Fertig The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at the Church of the Nativity, Fargo. There will be a Prayer Service at Boulger Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Friday. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 Friday in the funeral home and one hour before the funeral in the church. Burial will be at Holy Cross North Cemetery.
