Clarice passed away on February 28, 2013 at her home in Fargo surrounded by her loving family.

Clarice Sauvageau was born on October 2, 1932, the daughter of Gideon and Cecelia (Trottier) Sauvageau near Hickson, ND. She grew up on the family farm and received her education. She later moved with her family to Fargo. Clarice was united in marriage to Maurice Grandbois on July 12, 1949 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo. They made their home in Fargo where they raised their family. Maurice passed away on March 16, 1985.

Clarice was married to Stanley Eken on September 26, 1998 at Sts. Anne and Joachim Catholic Church in Fargo. They made their home in Fargo. Stanley passed away on February 19, 2010.

Clarice loved spending time with her family.

Clarice is survived by her children, Marjean (Bill) Miller; Joleen (Jeff) Greenheck; Charlene (Michael) Anda; Lisa (Jerrod) McPherson all of Fargo; Dale (Cheryl) Grandbois of Moorhead, MN; and Duane (Cammy) Grandbois of Chaska, MN; and her 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her step children, Randy (Janelle) Eken of Grand Forks, ND; Robyn (Rick) Hanson of Mayville, ND; Brad (Carol) Eken of Portland, ND and Sandy (Tim) Knudson of Mayville; her step grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her siblings, Edward (Angela) Sauvageau; Clement Sauvageau; Catherine Grandbois; and David Sauvageau.

Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; and her husband, Stanley; her sons, Donald and Dean; her great granddaughter, Shayna; her step son, Bryan Eken; and her siblings, Lillian Rheault; Leona Prosby; Marcella Markey; Maurice Sauvageau; Al Sauvageau; and Patrick Sauvageau.

At the same time I feel so blessed that I was able to spend a fun time with her and Stan at their home the last time I visited Fargo.
