Clarice "Patsy" Jones

Clarice Patricia "Patsy" Jones, 91, passed away Friday, October 7, 2011 at Villa Maria Care Facility in Fargo.
Clarice "Patsy" Jones was born March 17, 1920 in Sherwood, ND to Olaf Hilmer and Amanda (Walberg) Olson. Clarice married Charles Percy Jones on July 25, 1937 in Detroit Lakes, MN. She was a long time resident of Fargo and for a time, Detroit Lakes, MN. While raising her family in Fargo she was a member of St. Mary's parish. Patsy was a proud member of the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary. Patsy and family welcomed into their home the first wave of international students from India and Pakistan, who came to study at NDSU.
An avid whist player, Patsy was also never without a crossword puzzle, which she loved to do. She also spent many hours playing Scrabble.
She is survived by son, Nick (Tonette Garcia), Richmond, CA; daughters, Sheila (Bob) Kummeth, Fargo, ND, Margaret "Peg" (Bing) Sylvester, Minneapolis, MN, Marie Ann Jones, Minneapolis, MN, Mary Beth (Paul) Rydquist, Cloverdale, CA; daughter-in-law, Marie Theresa Jones; sister, Harriet Plut, CA. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

We were sorry to hear of Patsy’s passing. She was quite the lady and we always enjoyed the timea we spent together.

Omaha NEMarie and Family I was so sorry to hear about your Patsy’s passing. I remember her so well from St. Mary’s and was involved with clubs with my Mom. I seem to remember her smiling alot!!!!!
