Clifford Cossette

Clifford A. Cossette, 84, Fargo passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Elim Care and Rehab Center, Fargo.

Clifford was born on December 10, 1929 in Hickson, N.D. to Pierre and Emma (Pronovost) Cossette. He married Denise Sauvageau on October 4, 1950. They made their home in Fargo. He served time in the Korean Conflict from February 1952 until June 1953. He was awarded the Commendation ribbon and metal pendant for meritorious service. He worked for S.S. Kresge, Herbst and finally N.D.S.U., retiring after 21 years in 1992.

He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans, American Legion and Eagle’s Club.

He always had a special place in his heart for dogs and considered them a part of his family. After he retired, he took care of family member’s dogs, staying for hours every day.

He is survived by his wife Denise, his sons; Doug Cossette, Fargo, Mark Cossette, Moorhead, Curt (Shanda) Cossette, West Fargo, Darrel Cossette, Fargo, grandchildren; Dana Cossette, Ryan (Lindsey) Cossette, Brian (Angela) Cossette, Aimee Cossette, Andrew Cossette and Shae Cossette, 2 great-grandchildren; Jocelyn Cossette and Liv Cossette, Fargo and sister, Charlotte Thom.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Brad and Greg, granddaughter, Danielle, siblings; Gaston Cossette, Lucille Bussier, Maurice Cossette, Hazel Bernier, Laura Rheault and Lawrence Cossette.
