Clinton Earl Thurston, 80, Fargo passed away at Villa Maria Nursing Home on Friday, February 22, 2019. He was born August 22, 1938 to Earl and Lydia (Klebaum) Thurston in Cando, ND. He grew up in Egeland, ND. He was united in marriage to Clara Moe on July 16, 1960 at Churchs Ferry, ND. They moved to Fargo in 1974 where he worked at Fargo Mills. He began over the road trucking in 1976. Clinton enjoyed fishing, collecting John Deere tractors, and watching the Minnesota Vikings and old western movies. Clinton is survived by his wife of 58 years, Clara; children Wanda Ottesen, Fargo, ND; Cathy Thurston, Fargo, ND; Cindy (Garret) Brady, Middleton, NY; Bill (Pam) Thurston, Gackle, ND; Robin (Rob) Trenda, Fargo, ND; Mike Thurston, Fargo, ND; nine grandchildren – Justin, Jenna, Cameron, Courtney, Aidan, Alyssa, Michael, Samantha, and Tori; and 7 great grandchildren. Brother Clayton (Kathryn), Lake Eunice, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Constance. Celebration of Life to be held at Boulger Funeral Home Thursday, February 28 at 1:00 with a gathering one hour prior.

    Cindy whenever I would come to your house your dad was always so nice to me and made me feel comfortable.
    At least his suffering is over now. My dad as of February 21st will be gone 2 years.
    I remember when your dad asked me to come over for a cookout on a 4th of July.

  6. I’m so sorry for your loss Thurston family. My heart is broken and I feel so helpless. I wish I could be there with you today to show my love and support. Growing up with all of you as a second family was always an adventure and having Robin by my side all these years has been a blessing. Your dad loved to tease me as often as he could, he always made me feel welcome, included and loved. Take comfort in the fact that he is now at peace and is no longer suffering or in pain.
