Clyde C. Brown, 80, Fargo passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo. Clyde was born August 8, 1940 in Bismarck, North Dakota to John and Philomina (Haag) Brown. He attended school in Bismarck before graduating from Fargo Central High School in 1959. He enlisted in the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War on two different ships, the USS Claude Jones and USS Willard Keith. He worked at the Military Depot in Mechanicsburg, PA and lived in Wormsleyburg, PA. He suffered a stroke in 1998 and then returned to Fargo where he lived until his passing. He was an avid Notre Dame fan and enjoyed golfing when he could. He also shot a hole-in-one. Clyde is survived by his sisters, Phyllis Drashil, Carmel, IN, Sharon Nordman, Fargo, ND and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ronald, George, Kenny and Ralph and sister, Kathleen. Graveside Service: 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Holy Cross Cemetery North, Fargo.

  1. Sharon, I know this loss was not a surprise, but Clyde was a fighter.
    You can be proud of his determination to live.
    I enjoyed being a friend and he will be missed.

  2. Sharon, I volunteered at the VA Hospital for the VFW in West Fargo, and met Clyde playing bingo, he was such a joy to help, may he RIP, prayers for you and your family

  3. I remember Clyde when I would be at the VA for Bingo night once a month on Tuesdays put on by the VFW West Fargo.
    A great Veteran. May he rest in Peace.
