Consuelo Flores, 91, Fargo, ND, passed away on May 13, 2024 at Eventide in Fargo.

Consuelo Flores was born on September 20, 1932, the daughter of Leonardo and Guillerma Sepulveda. She was united in marriage to Jose Flores on July 3, 1955. They moved to Dilworth, MN in 1957 where they made their home and raised their family. Consuelo worked in retail for five years and was a teachers’ aid for 6 years. Consuelo also provided daycare in her home for many years. She enjoyed being a housewife and raising and taking care of her children; her children were everything to her. Consuelo enjoyed making quilts, sewing, and cooking; she was a fabulous cook. Her homemade salsa, tacos, and tortillas were all our favorites. Consuelo had a heart of gold and such a beautiful smile. She would always open her door and welcome in anyone that needed help.

Consuelo is survived by her children: Rosa (Harold) Hofmaister of Moorhead, MN, Johni (Karol) Flores of Fargo, Maria (Randy) Nelson of Sabin, MN, Oscar Flores, Gilbert Flores, and Janie (Jerry) Haussler, all of Fargo; her grandchildren: Savanna, Joshua, Sean, Kasen, and Tarryn; her great-grandchildren: Bailey, Caleb, and Bella; her great-great-grandchildren: Arya Juanita, Bryson, Natalie, Amelia, Julia, and Abel; and her siblings: Esperanza Landeros, Basitia Zarate, Leobardo Sepulveda, Teodora Echazarreta, Guadalupe (Francisca) Sepulveda, Isidro (Magdalena) Sepulveda, Gilberto (Rosa) Sepulveda, and Juan Sepulveda.

She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life Jose Flores; her parents; her parents-in-law; her siblings: Teodora and Benigno Sepulveda; and her siblings-in-law Sigifredo Zarate, Guadelupe Sepulveda, and Refugio Echazarreta.
