Corey Johnson
July 1, 1987 ~ June 6, 2019
Corey J. Johnson, 31, Fargo passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Sanford Health, Fargo.
Corey was born on July 1, 1987 in Fargo, North Dakota. He graduated from Fargo South High School in 2006. During his time in school he was active in the Boy Scouts of America and earned his rank of Eagle Scout in 2006. He went on to graduate from both NDSU and MSUM where he pursued his passion for teaching.
He worked at Green Mill for as long as anyone can remember. He also worked at Horizon Middle School as a paraprofessional for the last few years. Although he was a hard and dedicated worker, he had a passion for traveling the world and experiencing new adventures where ever he went. He traveled to nine different countries and several different states where he was able to rock climb, bungee jump and sky dive and many other adventures.
He loved his family, the family dog Molly, friends, movies and music. He was an avid movie and concert junkie and would go and see any and all movies and concerts. He was a BISON and Eagle’s Football fan.
He fought his illness being Johnson tough and Arends strong. He came into this world pre-mature and departed us too soon.
He is survived by his parents, Rick and Karen (Arends) Johnson; sister, Kaitlyn Johnson, Fargo, ND; brother, Brady Johnson, Fargo, ND; grandparents, Darlene Johnson, Fargo, ND and Glenn (Carmen) Johnson, West Fargo, ND.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Muriel Arends.
Celebration of Corey’s Life: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Boulger Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, Fargo with visitation starting at 1:00 P.M.
Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery North, Fargo.

We met Corey for only short visits when he came up to his parents seasonal last summer. I felt like I was in the presence of an angel. He was a movie lover like us. One favorite movie of ours, is the Guardians of the Galaxy. He was watching at the time I came into their camper to say good morning and how are things.
We will remember him when we watch our favorite movie, guardians of the galaxy. We will remember him always as the
Sweet, young man now as a angel forever watching over his family.
