She earned a Master’s Degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska in 1970, and taught at North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND and Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. Corky had a tremendous appreciation for life, joy, and beauty in numerous forms. She was an avid gardener, a fan of opera and a collector of art and antiques. She also got great pleasure from swapping funny stories and sometimes dirty jokes. Throughout her life she engaged in a wide variety of volunteer work as well, ranging from political campaigning to the fine-arts club. She was an incredibly generous woman who was always interested in hearing someone’s personal story and helping where she could. There will be a memorial service at 3:00 PM on Monday, September 14 at Boulger Funeral home in Fargo, ND. It was her wish to have a very informal memorial service where her friends and family would tell funny stories about her and remember the joy that she brought to so many people. She will be remembered and missed. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Salvation Army. Arrangements by Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Online guestbook at
