Curtis [Curt] Allen Blumhardt, age 72, of West Fargo, ND, passed away on May 2, 2024, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

He started his hard work ethic by working summers and weekends at Doctors Feedlot in Amherst, SD. He went on to join the North Dakota National Guard, while also working for O’Day Tank and Steel, before going to Versatile Gear and Axle of Fargo, ND.
In 1975 he met the love of his life, Linda and they married on February 28, 1976, where they made their home in Fargo, ND with their son, Todd, whom he adopted in the fall of 1976. In 1984 they completed their family by adopting their daughter, Michelle from Guatemala.
He entered the automotive industry at Russ-Buick-Honda in 1978, where he made this his lifelong career with his final 28 years in the industry with Corwin Automotive Group before retiring in 2015 and they began their adventure of becoming snowbirds, traveling to their second home in Mesa, AZ
Curt enjoyed many activities throughout his life. He took great pride in maintaining a meticulously kept yard, grilling a mean steak and lobster, golfing, building and flying remote control airplanes, and was a member of the Valley RC Flying Club. He loved the great joy and companionship of 41 years with his furry companions; Finny, Rocky, Buddy, Bailey, and Bruno with each one having a special place in his heart. The last six years his main hobby was being a very active and proud Papa Curt to his Little Sweetheart Hensley and Little Hoytie Boy.
On April 4th of 2007 he gave his life to the Lord and was saved. From 2007-2015 he faithfully served as the head of the greeters ministry at FBC, where he eagerly looked forward to welcoming all that attended and built many lasting friendships along the way. Praying for your whole family. I only met Curt once but I have loved getting to hear about him from Michelle. He was so very loved.
Ronald Symens.
At times like this I wish the swath that I have cut in my life was a little less broad. I cannot make the celebrations of Curt’s life as the distance between us is too large. We had many electronic conversations in the past few months and Curt was always one that was optimistic but WAITED on the LORD. He was a good lifelong friend.
We love you all so much, and we are praying for the Lord’s covering, grace, and comfort for you.
Miss Linda!
We love you so much, and count it a HUGE blessing to have gone on “dates” with you and Curt.
Our times with you were so memorable and vitally important to our future marriage and family.
We wish that we could be there to be a part of Curt’s memorial service, but know that we are definitely there in our hearts.
We love you all so much, and will be praying earnestly for you all.
God bless you abundantly,
The Farnham Family.
Our heartfelt condolences!
So sorry to hear of the passing of Curt.
Linda and family you are in our thoughts
and prayers. Take care.
Cyn and I are so sorry to hear about Curtis passing. When the good Lord says it is time to go…it is time to go… Curt was a good friend. We had some crazy times back when we were young. It is surprising we made it as long as we did.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Michelle and your family.
You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Find peace and comfort in your cherished memories.
We are praying for comfort and strength during this time. Enjoy your memories and cherish them always.
Erik and Kristine Hanson and family

Linda, I am so sorry to read of Curts passing. What a great guy, friend and the best car salesman the world has ever seen. My heart goes out to you and your family. He will be missed. I pray that all of your great memories will help sustain you in this time of loss. Bill
Linda,
Kristin and I were deeply saddened to hear about Curt. The kindness and welcoming spirit of both of you meant so much to us in Arizona.
