Curtis Wayne Walker, 62, Mapleton, ND passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Sanford Health in Fargo. He was born on July 30, 1953 to Alvin and Effie (Engen) Walker in Moorhead, MN. He grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo North High School in 1971. Curt attended Hanson’s Trade School where he earned an Auto Body Certificate. Following graduation, Curt lived in many cities throughout the country before returning to Fargo.
On August 6, 1987 he was united in marriage to Judy Kivley in Fargo. The couple made their home in Mapleton where they raised their son.
Curt worked as a supervisor for GPK Products in Fargo for 29 years.
Curt was a self-described “motorhead” who loved working on any car he could get his hands on. He also enjoyed spending time on the computer.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Judy; son, Christopher Walker; mother, Effie Walker, Mapleton; brother, Everett (Michelle) Walker, Valley City; sister, Cathy (Tauno “Butch”) Kangas, Mapleton; aunt, Janice Engen, Fargo; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; uncle, Lester Engen; aunt and uncle, Nina and Wayne Engen.
