David Bergh, 82, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Sanford Health, Fargo.
David Bergh was born on September 29, 1941, in Clarkfield, MN, to Orville and Gwendolyn (Meyer) Bergh. David grew up on a farm east of Havana, ND.
David graduated from Havana High School in 1959. His work included employment at Greenlee’s Meat Packing Plant in Sioux Falls, SD, farming at Havana, ND, and as a machinist at Bobcat in Gwinner, ND. He retired in 2002. In 2019 David and Wanda moved to Fargo.
David married Wanda Justesen on October 20, 1961, at Britton, SD. The couple had 5 children.
David was a man of deep faith in God. He loved spending time with his family, especially his 11 grandchildren and his 4 great grandchildren; having special visits with long-time friends; making new friends.
David is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wanda Bergh, Fargo, ND; children, Juanita Burchill of Fargo, ND, Jackie and Richard Rutherford of Grafton, ND, Doug and Juanita (Holman) Bergh of Casselton, ND, David Bergh of Algona, IA, and Patrick and Lacey (Richtsmeier) Bergh of Kindred, ND; grandchildren, Riley and Lexy Burchill of Arthur, ND, Taylor Burchill of Hunter, ND, Sawyer and Delaney Burchill of Hunter, ND, Anna Rutherford of Albuquerque, NM, Beau and Ali Rutherford of Grafton, ND, Levi Rutherford of Grafton, ND, Cassie and Daniel Simpson of West Fargo, ND, Allison Bergh of Watertown, SD, Matthew Bergh of Casselton, ND, Ava Bergh of Kindred, ND, Makenna Bergh of Kindred, ND; great grandchildren, Coy, Rosie, Davis and Camron. He is also survived by his siblings, Daryl and Tammy Bergh of Britton, SD, Videll and Ron Gorder of Anthems, AZ, Duane and Verla Bergh of Havana, ND, Gwen Bergh of Fargo, ND, Paul and Carolyn Bergh of Fargo, ND; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Gwendolyn Bergh.
Visitation: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Boulger Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, Fargo.
Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Friday, April 19, 2024, at Boulger Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, Fargo, with visitation starting at 9:00 AM
Burial: 3:00 PM Friday, April 19, 2024, at Havana Cemetery, Havana, ND.
