Leah thinking of you during this difficult time.
I am glad I had the opportunity to meet David, he was a kind and caring man, with only great things to say about you! Emma still talks about how she answered her door to find David bringing her a plate of tomatoes from the garden.
Take care of your self and let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
David R. Torkelson was a great man! The best, kind, loving, and he loved his daughters and his granddaughter Autumn. He was a wonderful dad to me. His favorite pizza was shrimp and green olive. It’s mine too, we would have it every week, almost, when I spent the weekends with him. We always took walks by the river, he loved nature. My dad had the best gardens too. The trip we took to Hawaii when I was young was the best memories I have. As a geographer he loved the volcanoes, and sharing his wisdom. I would say asking him a question is getting the encyclopedia version answer. I always respected my dad and his intelligence. He was an asset to this world and still is -since some of the programs which he created for the state of ND in agriculture are still in use today. He spent over 30 years researching family lineage. He was a researcher by trade and hobby. I miss you dad. Every day. I wish I could hug you and talk to you. David left a legacy in the hearts of many, he was a good friend. I know he was ready to go home to God. He was a man of faith. With love ❤️ Always, Dawn Torkelson.
