Dean Plante was born on April 25, 1961 in Fargo, ND, to Wally and DeeAnn (Berg) Plante.

Dean married the love of his life, Dee Lague, at Bonanzaville Lutheran Church. They were married for over 41 adventure-filled years. The couple had 3 children together: Douglas, Stephanie, and Stacy.
Dean was best known for his generosity and his love of the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching sports with his family and friends. He was an avid music fan and loved all things Pontiac and muscle cars (not Fords). He loved spending time with his grandchildren, whether that was go-karting, star-gazing, playing cards, tinkering in his shop, or explaining the importance of having a notebook and pocket knife available at all times.
Dean is survived by his wife, Dee (Lague) Plante, of Kindred, ND; father, Wally Plante, of Fargo, ND; mother, DeeAnn (Berg) Plante, of Fargo, ND; Mother-in-law Dolores (Richardson) Lague, of Moorhead, MN; brother Danny Plante (wife Julie Blattenbauer), of Walcott, ND; David Plante (wife Karla Dimmer), of Fargo, ND; Jamie Plante (wife Betty Ann Martinez), of Bonita Springs, FL; sister Dawne (Plante) Buchfink (husband Jim Buchfink), of Fargo, ND; son Douglas Plante (wife Billi Jo Knutson), of Johnston,IA; daughters Stephanie(Plante) Spry (husband Robert Spry), of Conroe, TX; Stacy Plante (husband Matthew Nakamichi), of Tamarac, FL; grandchildren Connor and Logan Spry, and Tyberius, Kyrabella, Xavier, and Orion Plante; many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

Know our love an prayers are with you. Dean was one of the good guys. I remember his crazy rides on the red river on his sled, 40 below driving 70 miles an hour. Coming home froze to bone an loving it. He was truly a problem solver an a great Dad like his father. I also remember all five kids never giving each other up when someone got in trouble. I laughed an cried watching the beautiful service today on line. Love you all. My favorite thing Dean said often when mad at kids for sumpin, do it or I give you a noggie till your eyes diolate! 😂🇺🇸🇳🇴
