Deborah K. Greeley

deborah greeley

Deborah “Dutchess” K. Greeley a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her residence in Fargo.

Deborah was born May 5, 1953 to Robert and Phyllis (Saunders) Wenzel in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She grew up and attended grade school and high school in Walker, MN. She then furthered her education at NDSU. She married her soulmate, Roger Greeley, on December 23, 1970, and together they made a beautiful life in Fargo, ND, raising their three children, Timothy, Terry, and Tamera. Together they owned and operated The Nut House Group Home Daycare, fostering a nurturing environment for many children. Later, they moved to Florida for a couple years before returning home after Roger had a courageous battle with cancer. Deborah went on to start a cleaning business in the area with her granddaughter until her final days.

Deborah loved to read, create puzzles, knit, sew, crochet, build leggos, and collecting dream catchers. She also enjoyed getting good deals at the thrift stores and was known to always be there for you when you needed her. She had an amazing way of making everyone feel loved and had such a big, feisty heart. Her final words were letting the family know that her love, Rodger, had a steak and coffee waiting for her. They are finally together again.

Deborah was survived by her children, Timothy (Misty); Terry; Tamara (Zachery) Northern; grandchildren, Corinthia, Bodhi, Dominic, Aujuna, Corlinda (Michael), Marquese, Envyona; siblings, Elmer, Kathy, Leah, David, Daniel, Shirley, Sandy, and Cindy; and many nieces and nephews.

Deborah was preceded in death by the love of her life, Rodger; parents; and brothers, Robert and Donald.
