Debra was born November 25, 1954 to Geraldine Mae Anderson and Vernon Engness in Moorhead, Minnesota. They divorced early in Deb’s life and Geri met and married Vernon VanRaden, who adopted Debra as his own. Vernon and Geri went on to have four additional children. Debra grew up in Moorhead surrounded by family and friends. She attended St Francis deSales and graduated from Moorhead High. She worked hard all her life, holding jobs from Food Stamps Accountant at Moorhead Social Services to various positions in the food service industry. She loved music and never missed attending the area Blues Fest with her best friend Kristi Bredell.

Debra is survived by her two daughters Kristal Condiff and Desirae Van Raden, sister-in-law Lyn, NM, sister, Karen (Chuck) Dudley, brothers, Lloyd (Karla) VanRaden and Russell (Deana) VanRaden, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Steve, and her grandparents.

There will be an open house to celebrate Deb’s life on October 9th from 1-4 at 114 Oxbow Drive, Oxbow, ND.
