Delores Richard

Delores Marie Richard, age 78, of Fargo, ND died on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at ManorCare. Delores was born on July 5, 1930 to John and Sylvia (Meyers) Muhle in Moorhead, MN. She grew up in Glyndon, MN and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1948. She attended Fargo Business College and received a certificate in bookkeeping. She worked at the Fargo Cleaners for a short time before marrying Roger D. Richard on February 1, 1950 at St. Mary?s Cathedral in Fargo. The couple made their home in Fargo and Delores was a foster parent for over 50 children through Catholic Social Services. She worked as a secretary for the Superintendent of Fargo Public Schools in the late 1970?s. She enjoyed traveling throughout the world and her hobbies included sewing, gardening, and tracking family genealogy. She is survived by two daughters: Cheryl (Roger) Olstad, Woodbury, MN, and Debbie (Mike) Bruns, Fargo, ND; one son: Steven (Susan) of Fargo, ND; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother: Chester (Esther) Muhle, Kingman, AZ; and a half brother: Clayton Erickson, Hawley, MN.
