Denise J. Cossette, 90, Fargo, ND passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Bethany on 42nd in Fargo. She was born on November 24, 1929 to Edward and Elmire (Richard) Sauvageau on the farm in Horace, ND. She married Clifford Cossette on October 4, 1950. They made their home in North Fargo. She worked as a cashier at JC Penney’s, cooked hot lunches at St. Mary’s, Shanley and Vocational Training Center. After Clifford passed away in 2014, Denise moved to Ecumen Evergreens Fargo. Denise was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Cathedral and Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She enjoyed crafting and doing puzzles. She cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Mark, Curt (Shanda), and Darrel, Cossette; grandchildren, Dana Cossette, Ryan (Lindsey) Cossette, Brian (Angela) Cossette, Aimee and Andrew Cossette and Shae Cossette; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Jocelyn, Liv, Aubrie, and Nash; siblings, Leonie Rheult, Marie (Warren) Brendemuhl, Elaine Staska, Pam Ulness, Leo (Diana) Sauvageau, Clifford Sauvageau, Tom (Linda) Sauvageau, Pat (Jim) Dreityler, Kathy (Ed) McDonald, Donna (Duane) Schechinger, and Janet (Del) Arneson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; sons, Brad, Greg, Doug and granddaughter, Danielle; and six siblings. There will be a visitation from 5-7:00 PM with a prayer service following at 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. The funeral Mass will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Fargo with a visitation one hour prior.
