Resided in: West Fargo, ND

Dennis “Denny” Kelly, 74, West Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Dennis Raymond Kelly was born on June 3rd, 1949, to Raymond and Norean Kelly. Raised on a farm near Argusville, Denny grew up with a profound appreciation for the land and the hard work that shaped his character. He attended Central Cass school in Casselton, ND graduating in 1967 before farming, raising cattle, and working at Northern Plains Mechanical, his efforts contributing to the community in many meaningful ways.

Denny was united in marriage to Susan Gault at St. Williams Church in Argusville on November 15, 1974. Denny was a devoted member of St. Williams and actively participated in the Men’s Club, embodying his faith through action and community involvement. Retirement brought him to West Fargo, but Denny continued to make the trek to St. Williams and always had a smile and chat for his fellow members.

Throughout his life, Denny was known for his unwavering devotion to his family. Sue was the love of his life, and he would do anything for her. A devoted father, Denny always put his children first, offering them his support and guidance in every endeavor. He enjoyed being a grandfather, a role he cherished with all his heart.

Denny had a lighthearted spirit that endeared him to all who knew him. He had a gift for making people laugh and bringing joy to those around him. His kindness and compassion knew no bounds, and his presence brightened the lives of everyone he encountered. He enjoyed collecting model John Deere tractors- a testament to his love for farming and machinery- and he continued reading old farmer’s magazines even after retirement. His country roots truly never left him.

Denny is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Sue; his daughters: Mona (Jeff) Radermacher, Casselton, ND, Kara (Derek) Docktor, West Fargo, ND, Kristi (Jon) Christensen, Casselton, ND; and Kayla (Evin Buckingham) Kelly, Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Breanna and Cameron Radermacher, Lacey (Brad) Kurtz, Mallory and Courtney Docktor, and Kade, Kobe, Kace, Kelex, and Xalen Christensen; his great-grandchildren Blaine and Gavin Sletmoe, and Izzy and Ty Kurtz; his brothers, Larry (Diane) Kelly, Jerry (Karen Westrick) Kelly, and George Kelly; his sisters Charlotte Lancaster, Kathy Robinson, Shirley (Tim) Petry, and Carol (Jim) Bell; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Denny will be greeted in Heaven by his son, Stewart; his great-granddaughter, Hadley; his brother, Orv; his baby sister, Jean; and his parents, Raymond and Norean Kelly.

Denny’s family would like to thank the Sanford EMT’s, doctors, and nurses who worked so hard and provided so much care and comfort to him and his family during his final moments.
