Dennis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the VA Hospital in Fargo, at the age of 77.
Dennis Duane Weaver was born on August 7, 1946, the son of Duane and Lillian (Haddow) Weaver. He was raised in Larimore, ND, where he attended school, graduating from Larimore High School. He then attended Wahpeton State School of Science for Plumbing. Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 until his discharge in 1968, including his Vietnam Tour from 1966 until 1967.
Following his discharge, he returned to North Dakota where he was united in marriage to Sandra Jorgenson on September 6, 1968, in Grafton, ND. They settled in Fargo where they raised their three children. Sandy passed away in 1995. Dennis worked his entire career as a Pipefitter until his retirement in 2008. He was a proud member of the UA Local 300, Plumbers and Pipefitters, for many years.
In 2000 Dennis was united in marriage to Shirley Orn. They made their home in Fargo until her passing in 2007. Throughout the years, Dennis enjoyed his time fishing and loved any time spent with his family.
Dennis is survived by his three children and their families: Douglas (Shannon) Weaver of Plymouth, MN – and their daughter, Sammy; Jason (Barb) Weaver of Bismarck, ND – and their children, Noah, Evan, and Sydney; and Alyssa (Chad) Johnson of Glyndon, MN – and their children, Isabella, Ava, and Savannah. Also surviving are his sisters-in-law, Lana Jorgenson and Susan Weaver.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Lillian; his brother, David Weaver; his wives, Sandra and Shirley; and his sister-in-law, Beverly Halvorson.
FUNERAL MASS: 11 AM Friday, May 31, 2024, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo – with a visitation one hour prior
BURIAL: Holy Cross North Cemetery in Fargo

I met Dennis in 1969 when we both attended Kundert Aviation in Fargo. He used to tease me (because I was younger-same birthday) that I was going to get drafted, was not only going to get drafted but was going to go to Vietnam . I was not only going to Vietnam but I was going to Phu Bai. He must have been a psychic because I got drafted, I went to Vietnam and ended up in Phu Bai. When I got home in February of 1972 he was the first to come and see me in Larimore and gave me a big hug. Dennis my friend rest in peace and God bless you for friending me.
