Desmond E. (Dez) Wadeson, 80, 530 3rd Street SE, West Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, in Innovis Health, Fargo. Dez was born March 17, 1923, at Alice, ND, to William and Mary Wadeson. He grew up and attended school in Alice. He moved to Fargo and began his 53 years of employment with Cook Sign Company. Dez married Marie Schafer on June 28, 1952, in Fargo. In 1958, they moved to West Fargo. Dez loved to watch his grandson, Matt, in all his sport activities, especially hockey. He loved to fish, hunt, and visit with his neighbors. Dez will be missed by all his family and friends. He was a member of the Wildlife Club and the West Fargo Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marie; daughters, Deborah (David) Ludwig, Fargo, and Laurie (Bruce) Haukedahl, Detroit Lakes, MN; six step-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; brothers, Jerome (Marion), Enderlin, ND, Donald (Bernice), Fargo, and Richard (Jackie), Alice; sisters, Joyce Hetland and Beverly (Basil) Lovell, New Hope, MN; special friend, Mark Schultz, West Fargo; and many nieces and nephews. Dez is preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Spieker on August 6, 2001; and James Brandser on August 20, 1999. The funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, West Fargo. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4-7 p.m. in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held Monday in the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fargo. Arrangements by Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
