Dolores Edwardson

Dolores Ann Edwardson, age 90, of Fargo ND, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 15, 2019 at Elim Transitional Care in Fargo, ND.
She was born April 4, 1928 in Carrington ND to Herlan and Sophie (Hanson) Short, where she grew up, attended school and married the love of her life Rudolph (Rudy) Edwardson on November 27, 1947. They farmed near Carrington until moving to Inglewood CA where Rudy worked for Air Research. In 1956 they moved back to Carrington where they farmed. In 1967 they purchased the Del Claire Motel in Carrington. They operated the motel for 17 years when they retired and moved to Detroit Lakes, MN on Big Floyd Lake. In 2014 they moved to Fargo, ND.
Dolores enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking, golf, bridge and most of her all children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who will all miss her dearly.
She is survived by: one daughter Paula (Gary ) Hammes, Fargo ND; two sons: Robert Edwardson , Carrington ND , David (Maria) Shoreview MN. Six grandchildren: Jason (Stephanie) Hammes, Dustin (Tina) Hammes, Ryan (Melissa) Edwardson, Stacy (Jeff) Hammes, Samantha Edwardson and Andrew Edwardson. Six great grandchildren: Reed, Cole, Brianna, Jersey, Hannah and Sage.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother John.
A Memorial Service and burial will be at a later date in Carrington, ND.

I was sorry to hear about your Mother’s passing. My Mom lived at Pioneer house briefly and took such a liking to your sweet Mother. My mom always wanted to go back and visit your Mother when we were in the area, and asks about her frequently. Our best to you as you grieve her passing.
