  3. Dickinson ND
Just want to pay my respects to my old neighbor to the north. We grew up together north of Richardton. I was the freakish little kid about a mile south of the Hoff place who thoroughly appreciated the hand-me-down engineer boots from the Hoff boys. I restored them and actually wore them to school with pride to the envy of my classmates. Donald was about five years older than I and I really looked up to the “army guy.” He never treated me like a pesky little neighbor boy but more like an equal. Since he moved to Fargo, I have not seem him but will always cherish the memories growing up. You have my sincere condolences on his passing.
