  1. Dickinson ND
Our sincere sympathy to Taeko, Betty Ann, David and families. Don was a very special Man in our lives, always there for us, his special smile and gift of gab, always ready with a joke to make us laugh. He gave so much of himself to us and all that knew him. He spoke highly of Taeko (his Honey) and his family and was very proud of his Grandchildren. He will never be forgotten, his Memory will always be cherished in our Hearts! We will miss him Dearly. We are the ones blessed to have known him. We still cannot say the words (Good Bye) to this Dear Friend, just (see you in the next life.) Dale and EL

    Taeko – David – BettyAnn,

Was very sad to hear of Uncle Don’s passing. Always enjoyed the times we had coffee together when he was at the courthouse visiting the Sheriff’s office.

You and your families are in my thoughts and prayers.

Got some bad news toight about the passing of a very close friend and neighbor next door. He and his wife were like a grandma and grandpa to our kids, Cancer claimed his life last night. He was very close to my children and myself, though we had only known him for 6 years it might as well have been a lifetime, he was just that kind of a person. Always ready with an ear or a helping hand at anytime, and ready with a story or a joke. Whenever my kids were outside and we couldnt find them we always knew where they were, over at Don and Taeko’s having cranberry Juice in Champagne glasses and oreo cookies or rice crispie bars. Tonight his wife brought the glasses that they always drank out of over for the kids to keep to remember him by, they will cherish them forever. Trying to tell a 9 and 11 yr old about death is one of the hardest things we have ever done, we laughed we cried we even shared some memories of our own. Life will go on and he will live forever in our hearts, Goodbye Don Schmidt, you will be loved and missed.
