Donna May Suckut

Donna May Suckut, 92, of Fargo passed away on January 3, 2026. She was born to Edward and Hazel (O’Niel) Huff on October 5, 1933, in Carrington, ND where she attended Carrington High School. Donna met Vernon Suckut on May 19,1950 at her high school prom. They were married on October 5, 1950, in Jamestown, ND. They moved to Elgin, IL, and returned to Fargo in 1953.

Donna was known for her beautiful flower gardens, holiday cooking, chocolate chip cookies, evening brandy and sense of humor. She enjoyed bowling, taking care of her four grandchildren, raising canaries, trips to the lake and was an avid reader. Donna was a foster parent to 99 newborns with the Village Family Services for 22 years.

Donna is survived by children, Sherri (Paul) Finke; Kevin Suckut, all of Fargo, ND; Shannon (Joseph) Booher, Maple Grove, MN; grandchildren, Robin (Mandy) Finke, Wahpeton, ND; Tiffany (Benjamin) Stone, Fargo, ND; Lacey (Mitchell) Gresham, Minot, ND; Julian (Teaghan) Booher, Philadelphia, PA; great grandchildren, Lily, Maya and Drake Finke, Camden Stone and Ellis Gresham.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Alice Gragert, Nora Hale and Darlene Tehven.

Her burial at Carrington Cemetery will be held at a later date.
