Doris Jean (Stueber) Olstad was born September 25, 1942, to Walter and Edna Stueber in Litchville, MN. She was the oldest of 4 children and was raised on a farm near Henderson, MN. She attended Ancker School of Nursing in St. Paul, MN., where she earned her registered nurse degree.

Doris was united in marriage to Bruce Olstad in Henderson, MN on August 3, 1963. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage together. Doris cherished her family dearly and was very proud of them.

Doris is survived by her husband, Bruce Olstad; son, John (KaSaundra) Olstad; daughter, Mary (Stacey) Anderson; grandsons, Gunnar (Riley) Olstad and Jack; and granddaughter, Ava Anderson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, and sister, Janet.

Memorials are preferred to the Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo.

    My sympathies to you in the passing of your dear mother/mother in-law, Mary. Even though i had only met her afew time’s-i did have a short conversation with her at Gunnar and Riley’s Wedding Shower-and she was beaming as she spoke of her grandchildren🩷 ! Big hugs to you!

  4. I only got to meet Doris in the last few years and what a privilege that had been. I meet her family through her eyes. And what glowing reports she had.
    Her laugh is set in my mind, Bruce your coffee was the greatest!
    Words cannot comfort the family at this time I am so sorry for your loss.

May you feel God’s presence at this time. We will never know why she went home, but we know God gained an amazing woman who was kind, giving, and a very loving mother and wife.
