Doris Onstad

Doris Muriel Onstad, 88 of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, formerly of Fargo, North Dakota, died December 30, 2006 in Castle Ridge Care Center, Eden Prairie. Doris was born on August 16, 1918 in Dilworth, Minnesota to Harley and Emma (Goessling) Akers. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fargo, the Fine Arts Club and other community organizations. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Paul James Onstad; son Peter, and granddaughter, Emily. Doris is survived by her sons, Paul of Artlington, VA, John (Betty) of Santa Fe, NM and Mark (Vickie) of Santa Fe, NM and daughters, Elizabeth of Fargo and Mary of Minnetonka, MN, as well as eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the caring staff at Castle Ridge Care Center in Eden Prairie. Memorials are preferred to Daily Bread / Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota, 1720 3rd Ave. N., Fargo, ND, 58102. Visitation: Wednesday, January 3 from 5-7 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Prayer Service: Wednesday at 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Service: Thursday, January 4 at 10:00 am at First Lutheran Church, 619 Broadway, Fargo. Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo. Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
