Charities
The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Dorothy Mae Stangler 's name.
I worked with Dorothy at St John’s, she was a role model for her nursing skill and caring.
I later moved to One Oak Place because of her recommendation, and when she could no longer care for her roses and flower plot she “willed” it to me and taught me how to prune the roses.
I’m having some health issues right now but will make sure someone learns to care for her roses if I can’t continue
Dearest Mary and family, I’m so sorry to hear about your mom passing. Your mom always made me so comfortable at your house, and I was always impressed with her dedication as a critical care nurse. As head nurse, I know she was highly respected. My mom also thought your mom was so lovely. I know you will miss seeing your mom’s face as I miss seeing mine until we meet them again in heaven. God promises to be close to the brokenhearted. Saying a prayer for you and your family.

So sorry to hear of your loss, bless you and your family.
Oh Dianne! Our moms are always suppose to be there! You will miss her dearly! Didn’t remember that your uncle Roman was my teacher. You have a great family. Prayers for you in your time of sorrow.
Diane, so sorry for the loss of your mother. Prayers for you and your families at this difficult time.
Dorthy was a part of my life since I moved into Fargo in 1976. She was my supervisor at St. John’s until she retired. Being a member of Nativity Dorothy and Gerald remained a part of my life. She asked me to Help her with her New Year parties which my husband and I did until she moved from one place. She was a shinning example of Gods love and kindness in all that she did as a nurse, a wife, a neighbor, a member of Nativity, and a friend. I was blessed to have her in my life. My sympathies to her family.
Dear Family of Dorothy

Too friends & coworkers that were blessed and fortunate to experience her friendship.
I had the privilege to work with her at St. Johns Hospital in the ICU CCU unit for about 8 yrs
Dorothy was a great role model and certainly a big credit to the nursing profession. She was kind
;loving compassionate and as one who treated the whole person , Mentally physically ,
emotionally and spiritually . Made for a wonderful patient advocate St. John was blessed to
have had her with them all those years. She was one so giving of herself being so community
minded as well. Rest in peace dear soul Heaven is getting another earth angel.
My prayers deepest sympathy and condolences go out to the family May all the loving
memories give you comfort and peace God enfold you all with his healing loving comfort
To Linda and all the Stangler girls and families,
Memories of Mrs. Stangler and hanging at the Stangler house in high school are among my favorite of the teen years. She was an elegant, warm and fun lady and wonderful Mom. I loved her passion for the ICU at St. John’s and for nursing. I remember how polished and professional she looked in that white uniform- and even more how much she adored her daughters. I am grateful for part of my life in those and later years. May she rest in peace.
Diane and family. So very sorry for your loss. It is never easy losing your parent. Heartfelt sympathy to you all.
