Douglas Hanson

Douglas W. Hanson, 57 of Fargo, died Thursday, November 16, 2006 in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo. Douglas William Hanson was born on December 24, 1948 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Harvey and Mabel (Paulson) Hanson. He graduated from Detroit Lakes Community High School in 1967 and then served in the US Army in Germany. He married Joyce Halverson in 1972. The family live in Fargo, where Douglas worked with Steiger Tractor and later CNH for over 20 years. He enjoyed playing softball, playing cards, watching the Minnesota Twins and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his, wife, Joyce; father, Harvey and brother, Ronald. Douglas is survived by his mother, Mabel of Detroit Lakes, MN; children, Michael of Fargo, Melanie Muscha of Fargo, Matthew of West Fargo; 6 grandchildren; brother, Lloyd (Cathy) Hanson of Mahnomen, MN; sisters, Judy (George) Tabery of Perham, MN, Esther (Donald) Weickert of Shakopee, MN, Karen (Dean) Miller of Buffalo, MN and many other family and friends. Memorial Service: Monday, November 20, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Peace Lutheran Church, Fargo. Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
