Eddie Benson

Eddie passed away on Friday, August 20, 2004, at Rosewood on Broadway Nursing Home in Fargo at the age of 99. Eddie was born on March 31, 1905, in Olivia, Minnesota, the son of Iver and Lizzie Benson. He grew up in this area and attended school. Eddie was united in marriage to Kathryn Rousseau on May 27, 1930, in Zumbrota, Minnesota. They made their home in Argyle, Minnesota before moving to Hillsboro, North Dakota in 1944. They farmed for many years in Hillsboro and moved to Fargo in 1970. Kathryn passed away in 1986. Eddie entered the nursing home in 2000. Eddie is survived by his daughter, Judith Dokken of Fargo; and 2 grandchildren, Chad (Jimie) Heiser of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; and Shari Heiser of Fargo. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathryn; and 9 brothers and sisters.
