Edith Zeller

Edith Zeller, age 86, passed away on March 6, 2006 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND with her family at her side. Services will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at Hope Lutheran in North Fargo with Pastor Chuck Olmstead officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery in New Rockford, ND. Edith (Soma) Zeller was born September 17, 1919, in Heaton, ND. At the age of eleven she moved with her family to a farm in Glenfield, ND, where she continued her education graduating from Glenfield High School. On October 30, 1943, she married George Zeller. They farmed west of Barlow, ND. Seven children were born to their family. Edith was a leader in the community 4-H club for many years. She enjoyed gardening and had many beautiful flowers. She was an active member of First Lutheran Church in New Rockford, ND. After George died in 1977, Edith moved to Fargo. She spent her retirement years making quilts which were sent to Lutheran World Relief, traveling, and learning to rosemal. She recently moved to Bethany Towers in Fargo. She will be greatly missed by her family: Ilene (Rodney) Diede, Jean (Larry) Huselid, Lorraine (Gary) Williams, Lyle (Debby) Zeller, Dorothy Steiner and Diana (Arthur) Doucet, twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two sisters, Helen (Robert) Weed and Cora (Walter) Diedrich.
