Edna Peterson

Edna Francis Peterson lived a full and abundant life with Christ and His Church. She passed away in Moorhead at home on Friday, July 31, 2015, under the care of Hospice at the age of 96. Edna grew up in Fargo, ND and worked at NDAC (later NDSU) prior to marriage to Harold Peterson in 1943. Upon marriage, they farmed near Georgetown, MN. They later moved to Dilworth and then Moorhead where they continued raising their four daughters. After 47 years in a loving marriage, Harold died in 1990. Throughout Edna’s life, her faith and family have been her priorities. She is survived by her four daughters, Diane (Denny) Kragnes, Donna (Doug) Pfeifer, Sandy (Bill) Beutler, and Deb (Bruce) Hicks. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Kevin (Kari) Kragnes, Mark (Trina) Kragnes, Erik Pfeifer, Tesa Pfeifer, and Seth (Jean) Pfeifer, Jay (Amy) Beutler, Monica (Jordan) Buchhorn, Ashley Beutler, Grant Hicks, Brandon (Ally) Hicks, Victoria (fiancé Brandon Jones) Hicks and twelve great grandchildren. Edna was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Edna Bissel and her husband, Harold Peterson. Also preceded in death by brothers, James, Charles, and Robert Bissel, and sisters Irene Bissel, Sadie Evenson, and great grandchildren, William and Francis Beutler, and Levi Buchhorn. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moorhead at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Family Prayer Service will be held Sunday. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Moorhead.
