Eileen was born on September 26, 1926, to Erwin and Vieta Fraase in Sheldon, ND. She attended Sheldon Elementary School. The family moved to Enderlin, ND where she attended Jr. and Sr. High School.
Eileen married Erich Kelm on February 21, 1943. They lived in Liberty Township where they farmed, raised chickens and hogs. In 1957, they sold the farm and moved to Fargo due to Erich’s poor health. Eileen attended Hairdressing Academy in Fargo. After graduation, she began her career at Fashion Beauty Salon. In 1960, they moved back to Enderlin. They purchased the Kelm farm and a beauty salon in Enderlin. She was active at Trinity Lutheran Church.
In 1965, they moved back to Fargo where she established a Beauty Salon in her home. Erich passed away on March 4,1982 but she remained in Fargo. She enjoyed being involved in the Ladies Ministry and on the church council at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. From 1987-1989, she moved to Texas to live with her son, Lee and be close to her daughter, Lois.
From 1989-2012, she moved into a home on Little Cormorant Lake in MN. She enjoyed the fellowship at St. Peter’s Church in rural Audubon, MN. In 2012, she and Lee moved into a home in Fargo. They enjoyed the fellowship at Atonement Lutheran Church in Fargo where she was always ready to be of help. Her smile and thoughtful acts of giving food to neighbors and friends will always be remembered. Their trips to Branson were a real thrill in her life.

Lee, sympathy to you and your family. Your Mom was a very nice lady to visit with. Always enjoyed when she would bring over soup!
I appreciate being able to view the service on here. I feel very blessed to have been able to spend time with Eileen and Lee a few years ago on my last visit from Texas. Eileen prepared some wonderful meals, along with astonishing me with her sharp memory. As a young person, I was privileged to get some haircuts and one of my first perms in her basement salon.
Her smile and her calm demeanor will stay with me. My condolences to Lee, Lois, and the grandkids and friends. She will definitely be missed.
LaRue has many Good Memories of your mom We remember our last visit with you guys at Marlys Bearmans Funeral in Frazee She had a Good Life well Lived.
I remember attending Liberty school with Lee and where they used to live not far from the school. My brother, Curt, was in first grade with Lee. I also remember when the Kelms lived on the corner of 6th Ave. S. in Fargo as I lived a couple blocks down on 6th Ave. for a while myself. While you probably don’t remember me, Lee, I’m sure you remember my brother, Curt Oeder. My condolences on the loss of your mom.
Eileen was a wonderful person. She was very happy around family and friends with a smile that would always make you smile in return.
She lived a very long life and she will be missed very much.
Mr. Kelm…I have such respect for you, it’s hard to call you Lee. Your mom was such a beautiful, kind spirit, as are you. I know you’ll miss her everyday, as I do my Terry and my parents. God bless you, and thank you for the role you played in my life.
Lee, I’m so sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers to your friends and family.
The family has our condolences for the loss of your mother and grandmother Eileen Kelm.

I have many good memories of my Aunt, she always made sure there was a great selection of food for everyone when we visited in the summer. I always looked forward to visiting the little solon in Enderlin it was a treat getting a hair cut from my aunt as a kid.
