Born in: Grafton, North Dakota
Resided in: West Fargo, North Dakota

This is a heart-felt story about a very unique, wonderful, caring, giving, spiritual, loving individual with a hilarious sense of humor… and will most definitely always be cherished!

This story is about Eileen Mary Teresa LaMont Sauer, this being her legal name.

Her FAMILY and FRIENDS knew her as “Pie” “Piezee” “Eileenie Pie” and our favorite “I lean over to tie my shoe” or basically anything you could possibly put together that included “I lean” would become her nickname!

Eileen’s story begins on July 24, 1947, in Grafton, ND, the 3rd child out of 7, to Gordon “Gordy” and Martha “Greskowiak” LaMont.

When Eileen was only 2 ½ years old, her family moved from Grafton to Fargo and started a new life in a small 936 sq ft home in North Fargo, which would literally end up housing up to 9 family members. Guests and Relatives were always welcome but had to literally sleep wherever they could find an open bare spot!

Graduating High School in 1966 from Shanley High, Eileen definitely had a “unique” relationship with the Nuns and staff at her school. Her personality was bold, and she basically was not afraid to voice her opinion, along with befriending many classmates!

On March 6th, 1999, Eileen married the love of her life, Ron Sauer, where they shared 23 wonderful years together.

Eileen had a heart of GOLD and always stayed young at heart… her smile would make YOU smile and eyes as blue as the ocean. She would volunteer her compassionate heart to anyone in need and would make sure all were taken care of and loved!

Reuniting with family members was most definitely her passion. Talking about the “good ol’ times” would just make her smile from ear to ear! Her laugh was simply the best and so genuine.
The joy that filled Eileen’s heart were her children, grandchildren, and new great-grandbaby Lilah Jean.

Loved ones she has been reunited with are her husband, Ron, father Gordy and mother Martha, brother Kenneth Dean LaMont, many aunts, Uncles and Cousins, and a very special Aunt, Helene Hodges.

Eileen is survived by her children, Brenda (Jeff) Horner, Mandan… Angela (Rob) Vojacek, West Fargo… Jackie Hieb, West Fargo… Dale (Brenda) Hieb, West Fargo… 8 Grandchildren, Sammi, Mitch, Alisha (Casey), Brenden, Kole, Frank, Manny, Myles and 1 Great Granddaughter, Lylah Jean…

Eileen is also survived by her siblings Sandra (Sandy) Borg, Larry (Jane) LaMont, Pat (Ron) Grimson, Janice LaMont, and Sharon LaMont, sister-in-law, Diane LaMont. She had many nieces and nephews that held a special place in heart and a very special nephew whom she had a tremendous relationship with, Kenneth Parker LaMont-Diumenti.
