Guestbook

  1. My mother Elaine was a very special person to our entire family. Her kindness, love and helpfulness were just a few of her traits that we will all miss. She always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face. She could take a bad situation and turn it into a positive with everything she was given. She was queen of our family and we all cherished being with her. I will miss my mom and her everlasting love. Todd

  2. We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Elaine. I only met her a few times, but I could tell that with her loving kindness, she was the rock that held the whole family together. Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.

  3. I’m going to miss Elaine (she was my second mom) . She was one of the kindest people I knew ,Elaine never had a unkind word to say . She was my support person after the loss of my mom. We talked often .. I would tell her things and her response usually was “oh dear” and she continued to listen to me babble on. She thought so much of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her sons and daughter in law . We had so many great times , I will cherish forever. I’m so sorry to have to miss the service for Gary and I will be out of town that day .. Our thoughts and prayers to the Benner family . I will miss her dearly … Love Patty

  4. In 1999 my mother moved into the apartment building where Elaine and Harold were living. They were so good to my mom. Elaine taught my mom how to crochet nylon scrubbies with many good visits and coffee time. They continued to visit after both moved away from the building. She is missed.

  5. Aunt Elaine, you were & are a gift to so many people…your children, grandchildren, & great-grandchildren, as well as other family & scores of friends. How lucky we were! Though contacts were brief & yrs apart, “Auntie ‘Laine” made an impact on me. When we visited Fargo in 1967, you were the mother-figure I needed when Mom wasn’t right there. When you visited my mom (kid sis Loretta) & I about 10 years ago, it was like having TWO moms in the house! Coming out in the morning & there you’d be, eating Cheerios with cinnamon! You will be sorely missed & my thoughts & prayers go to all who loved you so much. As the years went by, it was incredible to see & hear how much you reminded me of Gram Jensen. I felt blessed to have a little bit of Gram still around in a beloved aunt.

  6. To the entire Benner family,

I am so sorry for the your loss of your wonderful mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. Elaine was one of a kind. Always positive and so patient! She loved you guys so much and was so very proud of her family. I enjoyed many, many (many, many!!) hours at your home on 14th Avenue hanging out – playing cards, badminton in the backyard, etc. Such great memories.
    May she rest in peace.
    With love, Cassie
