Elayna’s service will be livestreamed below
Elayna Marie (Albrecht) Emin, 61, of Fargo, ND passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at her son’s home in north Fargo after a short battle with an aggressive and extremely rare cancer. Elayna was born July 18th, 1964 to Edmund D. and Sharon (Rindahl) Albrecht in Moorhead, MN. She grew up in Fargo attending Lewis and Clark Elementary School, Agassiz Junior High, and graduating from Fargo South High School in 1982.
Elayna attended college at North Dakota State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Recreation in 1988. Upon graduation Elayna moved to Fairfax, Virginia to work for their County Park District before returning to Fargo for a few years to run an in-home daycare. She then moved to Waldorf, MD where she enjoyed working as a vacation caretaker and camp assistant for individuals with special needs. She returned to Fargo in 1995, settling in north Fargo working for Rosenbluth travel, opening another daycare, and then working several years as the assistant manager for LaborReady.
Elayna was always bringing joy and laughter to her family, with her fun nature and love for her developmentally-disabled sister, niece, and several grandchildren! She was always bringing them little trinkets and spending time with them! She loved playing bingo, garage-saling, doing puzzles, helping anyone in need, and was always putting everyone else above herself!
Elayna is survived by her two sons, Brandon (Shania) Emin of Fargo, Ethan (Brooklyn Soland) Emin of Fargo; grandchildren, Addy, Evie, Gwennie, Grayson, Olivia; mom, Sharon Albrecht of Fargo; and siblings, Elissa Albrecht of Fargo, Mindy (Dave) Beerends of Grand Forks; niece, Lila Beerends of Grand Forks, her bonus son Tanner Kaste of Fargo; and several other family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edmund D. Albrecht.
Private family services will be held.

Brandon, Ethan, Sharon and Family:
How we loved and felt lucky to have Elayna and the boys as our neighbor on Broadway from 1998 to 2008. Our kids Sam and Sophie loved playing with Brandon and Ethan. There was an open door policy between both of our homes. Elayna was so good to our kids and we loved having the boys over. I was shocked and saddened by seeing she had passed so early in life. She had a great wit about her and I loved hanging out and talking to her throughout the years. She would even invite our kids out for pizza (Duane’s) sometimes. So very thoughtful. We think about those days with warm memories and how her kindness and grace was bestowed upon our children. We will always cherish her and you in our hearts! Love you all!
