Eleanor Wika

Eleanor Wika Eleanor Beatrice (Koval) Wika, 83, Hillsboro, ND, died Wednesday, December 14, 2005. Born to Michael and Alvina (Kubitza) Koval February 19, 1922. She graduated from Hillsboro High School and moved to Fargo in her early twenties to work for The Store Without A Name in Fargo. She and a former spouse became foster parents to niece and nephew, Carol Jean and Paul Dennis Wika in 1953. They moved to California where she worked as a supervisor at USCP in Los Angeles for 28 years, later retiring to Hillsboro. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Daryle) Jendro, Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Matthew) Richman, Tower City, ND, Christopher Jendro, Fargo, ND, Rebecca (Lanny) Fiedler, Fargo, ND; great grandchildren, Jacob Paul Richman, Samuel Matthew Richman, Emma Jean Fiedler and Colton Rae Fiedler; her brothers, Frank (Ann) Koval, Austin, TX, Robert (Pat) Koval, Burlingame, IA; her sisters, Leona Barnard, Moorhead, MN and Yvonne Anderson, Hillsboro, ND. Eleanor considered everyone she met a friend wherever she traveled and lived, so she leaves many others. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Dennis, who she lovingly nursed prior to his death in 1990; her brother, Leroy Koval; and her sisters, Florence Wika, Theresa Haugen, Alvina Floberg, Margaret Gryzbowski, Frances Holzkamm, Mary Oelrich, Barbara Johnson, and Rose Koval.
