Elizabeth Schwehr
November 4, 1928 ~ January 2, 2024
Elizabeth H. Schwehr, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2024, at Bethany Homes on University in Fargo, ND, at the age of 95.
Elizabeth Fickert was born on November 4, 1928, in Loma, ND, to Anton and Mary (Stremick) Fickert. She attended rural schools and lived on the family farm until moving to Fargo in 1952. Elizabeth married Edmund Schwehr in 1961 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fargo. She and Edmund raised their family in Fargo, where she dedicated herself to her family and the art of homemaking.
Throughout her life, Elizabeth found joy in the simple pleasures. She had a deep appreciation for the company of others and was often found gathered around a table, engrossed in a game of cards. She enjoyed being creative and gifted countless sets of beautiful, embroidered dish towels to friends and family over the years. She had an adventuresome spirit and enjoyed traveling to visit her family.
In honoring Elizabeth’s life, a celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Family and friends will gather to pay their last respects, reminiscing on the cherished moments shared and the love she bestowed upon them.
Elizabeth Schwehr will be remembered as an outgoing and loving woman. Her absence will be deeply felt by all those fortunate enough to have known her, but her memory will forever remain a cherished part of our lives.
Rest in peace, dear Elizabeth. Your legacy lives on in the hearts of all who loved you.

Sympathies to all the family of Elizabeth. I got to know her @ Bethany Homes where she faithfully attended Friday’s Catholic 10:00am mass in the chapel. Just got word that she went to meet our Lord, she was a kind lady.
