Ella Almer

Remembering the life of Ella E. Almer Ella was born in Goodrich, ND to Godlieb and Lydia (Berg) Keblar on October 6, 1922. She worked on the family farm until she married Herbert Almer on June 22, 1941 in McClusky, ND. They lived in Goodrich and later in McHenry, ND. They owned and operated the McHenry Caf? for many years. They moved to Fargo in 1967. She worked at various places including the Bowler, West Fargo Truck Stop, Bill?s Caf?, and Western State Life Insurance Company. She spent many years doing housekeeping in private homes. She also worked at Golden Wings Daycare with her daughters. After retirement she spent many years caring for her husband. Herb died in 1998. She enjoyed gardening and tending her flower beds. She loved going fishing with family and playing Bingo. Crocheting was her passion. Survivors include her children: Carol Kennedy, Excelsior, MN, Arlys Hoyt (Monte) Horace, ND, Kathy Goldade (Ronald ?Sonny?) Fargo, ND, Karla Schick, Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Steven Kennedy (Erica) St. Paul, MN, Larry Kennedy, Shakopee, MN, Debbie Anderson, West Fargo, ND, Jeremy Hoyt, Horace, ND, Jason Almer (Becky) Fargo, ND, Ronda Mullen (David) West Fargo, ND, Jennifer Schick, Fargo, ND; two great grandchildren: Alex Mullen and Paeden Mullen, both of West Fargo, ND; several nieces and nephews; and her very special buddy, Brandy. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert; great grandchildren: Julian Mullen and Parker Mullen; two brothers: Alfred and Edward Keblar; and one great niece: Dana Keblar.
