April 3, 1983 ~ May 18, 2012
Erin Jean Malnory, 29, of Bloomington, MN, formerly of Fargo, surrendered peacefully after a short, but courageous battle against stomach cancer. She made her journey Home surrounded by her immediate and extended family in love, prayer, and song. Beloved daughter, sister, aunt, Godmother, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend, she was an inspiration to us all and will be greatly missed. Her memory will forever live on in our hearts.
Erin was born in Fargo on April 3, 1983. She was a 2001 graduate of Fargo South High School. Erin worked at Ameriprise Financial in Minneapolis for the past five years as a Marketing Coordinator. Erin loved to spend time with family and socialize with friends. She had a great sense of humor and a laugh that was contagious.
The blessing of close family in Minneapolis and Fargo in this time of crisis was immeasurable and a great comfort to Glenn, Bev, Erin, Megan, and Brad. She loved being an auntie to Cole who always brought her big smiles and joy.
Survived by parents Glenn and Bev Malnory, sister Megan Fredrickson, brother-in-law Brad, nephew/Godson Cole, grandmother Margie McShane, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents William G. McShane, Arden and Dolores Malnory, uncles Tom and Patrick S. McShane.

MontanaAlthough I never knew Erin I wanted to say I am so sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to say goodbye to someone you love so much. I went out to visit my brother Jared’s grave and noticed Erin was buried next to him. I do not know if they knew each other but I did notice Erin graduated 2 years ahead of Jared from Fargo South. Jared died March 19th. My heart goes out to your family. God bless you.
Erin was nothing less than a joy to work with. I worked with Erin at Ameriprise and she was always willing to help, never one to complain, and always made others laugh. My condolensces to your family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.
My thoughts and payers to all of you> I met her through her parents and she always brought a smile with her. God bless you all.

So shocked and sad that such a young and beautiful young woman inside and out is gone. Thoughts and prayers to her good friends and family may she only know comfort, peace and much happiness now in Heaven you deserve it Erin! God bless your loved ones!

My heart goes out to you all during this sad and difficult time. Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
I had the honor and privilege to take care of Erin as her nurse while she was a patient at the cancer center for the past 3 months. We spent lots of time on the phone and also chatting at her appointments. We are the same age, so it was very easy to relate and even become friends. I already miss her laugh and our three-time weekly talks. I’m so very sorry to Glenn, Bev, Megan, Brad, Cole, + the entire extended family for the loss of your Erin. I hope you will be able to find peace in her memory and each other. Thank you for the opportunity to know Erin. I will not forget her.

To the Malnory family – I’m sorry to hear of Erin’s passing. While I didn’t know her well, I do know that she was a wonderful person and will be missed by many. I met Erin a few years ago when we were bridesmaids in my brother’s wedding. We realized we both worked for Ameriprise, and after running into each other in the cafeteria one day, we made plans to get together after work. We talked for a few hours and I’m so glad I got to know her a bit better she spoke very highly of her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I am so very sorry for your loss. I graduated from Fargo South with Erin and we shared the bond of having sisters in the class below us. May God’s love and grace be with you as you grieve and celebrate Erin’s life.
My most sincere condolences to you on your loss. I worked with Erin at Ameriprise Financial – not extensively, but enough to know what a sweet person she was. May you find joy and peace in your memories of Erin’s life.
I will always remember Erin’s smile and her genuine interest in people. She will be deeply missed at Ameriprise.
Erin was, and still is, a bright and beautiful soul.

Dear Bev, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. sincerely, Jane DuBord-Hill
My heart is broken at this news. I just cannot find the words to express how very sad I am. Erin was my Administrative Assistant at Ameriprise for 3 years. She was intelligent, warm, funny and a bright light for all of us. She was a wonderful assistant and it was bittersweet to see her get promoted and move away from our group. You are all in my prayers as you try to navigate this unbearable joureny. I pray that God will be with you and give you comfort. Erin wrote on Facebook, “I can do all things through him who gives me strength”. I pray for that for all of you.
Bev and family,
There aren’t any words I can possibly write that I think will ease your pain. I can’t begin to imagine how you and your family feel. I just pray that you are feeling everyone’s prayers as they are lifting you up in prayer. I have an “I don’t understand” box that I put things like this in when I just can’t understand why something has happened. This is one of these times. You and your family are loved by so many – the one positive thing you can count on is you will see her again some day. I can only think that God has some very special plans for Erin. May you get through this hard time leaning on Jesus and your family. Blessings to you all.

To the Erin’s Family
I never met Erin, but through Megan talking about her sister. She was a great sister and a wonderful daughter! You’ll be in my prayers. Take care.
Bev, Glenn, and Megan,
I know there’s nothing I can say to ease the pain but I can share a story about Erin.
I ran into Erin-quite by coincidence a few months ago at Scheels. She recognized me right away and stopped me in my tracks. There was no mistaking her for anybody but a Malnory. She hadn’t changed at all since the last time I saw her. I think it was the baby shower Bev threw for Coghlan. So it had been a very long time. So today, I consider her big “Hi!” a gift. She said, “Do you know who I am?” I laughed and asked about you, Bev. To be honest I wasn’t positive whether it was Erin or Megan, so I name dropped momma Bev.
That was good enough for her and we laughed!

Erin, you will always remain in our hearts and thoughts.
My heartfelt condolences to the Malnory family and friends.
Erin has been an inspiration for many here at Ameriprise. Her unfailing courage and positive thoughts in such trying circumstances are truly remarkable. She will be greatly missed and we are all sadden by her loss.

Bev, I am so sorry for your loss. May your happy memories bring you peace and knowing that Erin is not suffering any more. God must have a special plan for this angel.
I met Erin on a warm summer night a little less than a year ago and I will never forget that meeting, from that day on Erin and I talked almost every day. Erin may not have fully realized it, but she helped me through a difficult time in my life, simply by being such a wonderful friend. She was easily one of the most outgoing, funniest friends I have ever had. Although our friendship was brief in the grand scheme of life, Erin made me a better person and I will forever be grateful. Erin, I miss you so much, your memory will live within me for the rest of my life.
St Louis Park To the Malnory family – I am so sorry for your loss. Erin was a joy to know. We worked together at Ameriprise and I can attest to what many others here have stated – she was spot-on witty and always upbeat. She will be missed. On angel’s wings may you now fly, Erin.
Erin was a dear, sweet girl whom I considered a friend and have known since Jan ’08 from Ameriprise. She always had a smile and we would laugh all the time. She was joy to be around. I am deeply saddened by the loss of a friend and one we have lost so young. She will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends in this difficult and sad time. God just received an angel.

Patrick Aumer and Family.
I am so sorry for your loss. Erin was a coworker and a friend. She will be deeply missed. Erin, you and your family are in my prayers.
I worked briefly with Erin before she and the Bank moved to a different floor. When we interacted she was “spot on witty” which always brought a smile to my face. I will miss her!
My thoughts and prayers go out to Erin’s family at this difficult and sad time. I worked with Erin and she was just a pleasure to be around – always smiling and wanting to learn and do more. In the past year, she had expressed interest in learning more about coordinating events and when given the opportunity, she did a fabulous job at the events she managed onsite. She was also able to laugh when work got to be crazy and she will be deeply missed. Hugs and prayers to those who knew her. Peace to you, Erin.
Peace be with you and to your family, friends and assoiciates. Love be your Legacy.
To the Malnory family – I am so very sorry to hear of Erin’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with her when we were both on the 7th floor. She had an infectious smile and a warm personality. I always enjoyed our chats. My thoughts are with you and I wish you comfort at this most difficult time.
New York New YorkI am so sorry for your loss. Erin was such a pleasure to work with. She was bright and funny and truly a sweet girl. I particularly loved her wit – it usually made my work day – especially when things got crazy and hectic. It’s hard to find the right words to help with the loss. I found this poem this past weekend which I hope helps a little.
You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she’s gone or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back or you can do what she’d want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
We are thinking of all of you at this time, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
My deepest condolences to the family. Erin was a wonderful person to work with and brought smiles to all our faces. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Erin will be deeply missed. She was always positive and had a great spirit. I worked with her at Ameriprise, and she was always smiling and laughing. My thoughts and payers are with her family during this difficult time.
