Ervin L. Grossman, age 78, of Horace ND, died Wednesday, November 4, 2021 at Essentia Hospital surrounded by family. He was born May 19, 1943 to Paul and Veronica (Thomas) Grossman in Harvey, ND. He grew up in Manfred, ND where he attended school. In 1951, the family moved to Fargo where he continued his education at Agassiz and Central High School. He enlisted in the US Army until he was honorably discharged in 1973. He retired from the army in 2003, and served in the ND National Guard for 20 years, from which he was honorably discharged in 1981. On May 25, 1974 he was united in marriage to Annette Jewett who was the love of his life. They enjoyed countless trips and camping on Meadow Lake—visiting with family and friends, and fishing. Ervin worked for Tri State Auction where he made lifelong friends and retired from in 2005. During retirement he enjoyed his mini trips to the casino with anyone he could get to tag along. He will be fondly remembered for his smile, kindness, and generosity. He was a little guy with a BIG heart. He will be deeply missed and is survived by his son Ervin Jr. (Coreena Sande), granddaughter Miranda, sisters Martha Lee and Pauline Knudson all of Fargo, numerous nieces and nephews, including his special nephews Jeff and Steven. He was preceded in death by his wife Annette, infant daughter Sarah, his parents, sisters Violet and Lorraine, brothers Adam, Paul, Kenny, and twin brother Nick.   4. Erv was a wonderful friend and neighbor while I lived in Horace. I was sad to hear of his passing. He will be missed by so many!! Prayers to all his Family!!

  5. Erv was a great neighbor. When we moved in next door he made us feel so welcome. He checked on us often. He was so good to my husband. They would go for drives and out for breakfast and have a beer on the deck. Such a kind man and a great friend he will be missed.
