Ervin Howard Pfeifle, 87, of Fargo passed away on August 9, 2022, at home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
    
  Ervin is survived by his wife, LaVon Pfeifle, four children: Rick (Jean) Pfeifle of Scottsdale, AZ; Rob (Julie) Pfeifle of Puerto Valllarta, Mexico; Kristin (Nick) Kane of Horace, ND; Brock Pfeifle of Loveland, CO. Ervin was blessed with six grandchildren: Jeremy Small, Andrew (Christina) Pfeifle, Ashley (Rooz) Etemadi, Sydney Pfeifle, Hunter Kane, and Harper Kane. He is also survived by his brothers, Leroy Pfeifle, Myron (Judy) Pfeifle, and Kenneth (Carlotta) Pfeifle, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Delila and Harold Schaible, and many nieces and nephews.
     
 Ervin was proceeded in death by his parents, brothers Elmer Pfeifle and Martin Pfeifle, and sisters Viola Klein and Alice Bender, as well as his parents-in-law and niece Tammy Terpstra.
     
 Ervin was born June 14, 1935 to Julius and Adele (Graff) Pfeifle in Venturia, North Dakota. Ervin had 7 siblings and grew up on the family farm. He was united in marriage to LaVon Huber on June 14, 1980 in Fargo, ND, where they made their home. They had a loving 42 year marriage.
    
  Ervin’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. He also loved gardening and continuing the tradition of cooking the German food he grew up on. He will always be remembered for his “kuchen” and “strudels”. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Ervin’s celebration of life will be held Monday, August 15, 2022, at 10:00 am, with visitation one hour prior at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo. Luncheon to follow.

Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers please direct memorials to the family or Hospice of the Red River Valley.

  1. We will always remember Ervin for his sweet smiles and happy nature. My mom Irene babysat for Ervin and the rest of his siblings when they were quite young.

  2. While I was a student at NDSU, Ervin and lavon , would often invite me to their house for a home cooked German Meal, My sympathy to the family , sorry I could not attend the funeral

  3. Bubba you where the badt grandpa I could wish for you where there for me and I will always remember you. You made me smile when I was sad and you where always there for me.
