Esther Garnett

Esther H. Garnett, 91, died May 15, 2011 at Edgewood Vista, Fargo.
Esther was born May 18, 1919 to Olaf & Carrie Moe in Eau Claire, WI. She attended High School and College in Eau Claire. In 1942 she married Jack Garnett.
Esther taught school for 38 years. She taught in Chippewa Falls and Ontario, WI and in St. Paul, MN. She moved to Fargo in 1988.
Esther conducted a two year "Story Time" television program for primary children and helped organize the "Head Start" program. She was named teacher of the year in 1974.
Esther is survived by her son-in-law Ron Pederson, his wife Lynette, grandchildren Brian and Kari (Mike) Sunderland, great grandson Carson Sunderland, sister Helen Huntington of Clinton, WI and many nieces and nephews.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, daughter Sharon Pederson, sisters Pearl Moe, Mildred Schmidlin, and brother Charles Moe.
Kindred ndMy sincere sympathy on the loss of your dear Esther. She was so lovely, I would compliment her how darling she always looked. We had many,many nice conversations at the clinic and she will always have a special place in my heart! I will miss Esther, and it is comforting to know she is at peace with the Lord.
