Evangeline (Vangie) J. Larson, age 85, of Fargo, North Dakota, died on November 19, 2004, in Fargo after a long and courageous fight with cancer. Vangie was born on June 13, 1919, to John and Sophie (Bzdok) Posch in Little Falls, Minnesota. They moved to the Argusville, North Dakota area in 1923. Vangie married James E. Larson at St. Mary?s Cathedral in Fargo on February 4, 1942. Vangie and Jim were married for sixty-three years. Jim died on October 19, 2004. Vangie enjoyed cooking, playing the piano, tennis, golf, and being outdoors. Most of all, Vangie enjoyed being with her husband. After Jim?s retirement, Jim and Vangie spent many of their winters in Palm Springs, Naples and Arizona. She is survived by her three children: James (Sara) Larson; Jerry (Chris) Larson; and Joan (Gerard) Koperski, all of Fargo, and three grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and one grand daughter. The family would prefer that any memorials be sent to Rosewood on Broadway or Roger Maris Cancer Center. Funeral services for Vangie will be held November 22, 2004, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo at 2:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, November 21, at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo. Visitation will be one hour before the prayer service in the funeral home and one hour before the funeral in the church. Burial will be at Holy Cross, North, Cemetery.
