Evelyn T. Krogen, age 84, of Fargo, ND, died on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo. Evelyn was born on the farm at the Perley Family homestead on November 22, 1933. She attended country school in Perley, MN and graduated from Mount Saint Benedict Academy in Crookston, MN. Evelyn was united in marriage to Robert E. Krogen on September 17, 1955 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ada, MN. They made their home in Fargo. Evelyn worked as a Bookkeeper for Pioneer Oil Company, Star Oil Company and retired from Sahr Oil Company in 1995. She was an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Evelyn enjoyed playing bridge, spending time at the lakes and casinos, but most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren. Evelyn is survived by her daughters – Barbara Samb of Chippewa Falls, WI; and Bonnie (Bruce) Kupperion of Fargo, ND; and her son, Mark Krogen of Fargo. Also surviving are her grandchildren – Christopher Samb, John (Jessica) Samb, and Elizabeth Samb of Eau Claire, WI; and Robert Kupperion of Fargo; and great-granddaughter, Claire Samb (and a great-grandson to be born in February); her sister, Donna (Jim) Asselin of Covina, CA; and her brother, Ed (Darlys) Miller of Detroit Lakes, MN. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Alice Miller; her sister, Margaret Mary and four brothers – John, Adolph, Jerome and Jim Miller; her son-in-law, Nolan Samb; and her great-granddaughter, Josephine Samb. VISITATION: 5-7 PM Friday, November 2, 2018 at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo – and also one hour prior to the service in the church on Saturday PRAYER SERVICE: 7 PM Friday at Boulger Funeral Home FUNERAL MASS: 1 PM Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo BURIAL: Holy Cross North Cemetery in Fargo

  3. One of my very first memories (1960 – I was 3) was going to my Dad’s cousin Evelyn’s house. Evelyn and Bob gave me a little blue bicycle! It was the start of many adventures! They were so nice!
