Frances Anderson

Frances M. Anderson, 94, Leonard, ND, died Monday, September 15, 2003 at Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND. Frances was born April 2, 1909, in rural Hickson, ND to Peter and Mabel (Jacobson) Oslie. Frances attended rural school in Hickson, ND and graduated from High School at Berthold, ND and attended Minot State Teacher?s College and received a teaching certificate. Frances taught for 11 years in the Minot Area and rural schools of Richland County, ND. Frances married Lewis C. Anderson on May 13, 1939 at Leonard, ND. They farmed for a short time in Minnesota and then farmed in Leonard, ND area and retired in 1965. Frances worked at the Halliday Motel in Moorhead, MN and lived in Moorhead, MN for a brief time before returning to Leonard, ND. They moved to the Cooperative Living Center in West Fargo, ND in 1990. They moved to Riverview Place in Fargo, ND in 2000 and then in 2001 Frances moved to Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND. Lewis died March 10, 2001. Frances is survived by two sisters, Corine (Frank) Gronbeck of Moorhead, MN, and Irene Gram, Eventide, Moorhead, MN and several nieces and nephews. Also survived by her special friends David and Debby Strand and Lillian Stevens. The Funeral for Frances M. Anderson will be Thursday at the West Prairie Lutheran Church, rural Kindred, ND at 11am and the visitation will be Wednesday at Boulger?s Funeral Home from 4-7pm, with a prayer service at 6pm.
